Stone Wall Gay Pride Festival 2015

Spectrum Human Rights activists and local asylum seekers attended the Stonewall Gay Pride Festival on June 20, 2015 in the small city of Wilton Manors, FL. Vladimir Maximov and Nicolay Bystrov, local asylum seekers from Russia, raised public awareness of the state of LGBT rights in Russia and the problems experienced by LGBT asylum seekers.

Stonewall Gay Pride Festival is held in honor of the Stonewall Riots and takes place every year in June. This event brings together a diverse crowd of approximately 20,000 — 30,000 individuals with the common virtuous goals of mutual respect, equality and love.

Spectrum Human Rights Alliance is a leading international organization devoted to human rights advancement on behalf of people who experience discrimination or abuse on the basis of their actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or expression in Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and former Soviet Union countries.
