South Florida Joins Russian/Ukranian “Endless” Picketing Action

Spectrum Human Rights performed an action in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to support Russian and Ukrainian LGBT asylum seekers who are holding “endless” picketing action in Washington, DC.
Local asylum seekers from Russia and Ukraine expressed solidarity with the similar picketing at the White House started by Andrey Nasonov, volunteer at Spectrum Human Rights organization.
The event took place in the heart of the local gay district in front of the Wilton Manors City Hall.
This action was attended by Larry Poltavtsev, the President of Spectrum Human Rights organization, Artem Gorbunov, Spectrum Human Rights volunteer and local South Florida asylum seekers from Russia, Ukraine and illegally occupied Crimea: Andrey Moskalets, Alexander Podosokorsky, Vladimir Maximov and Alexey Tsukanov.
The goal of this picketing is to call American public attention to the problems experienced by the LGBT asylum seekers and to invite asylum seekers to perform similar action in other cities across the US.
