Spectrum Human Rights activists, Artem Gorbunov and Viacheslav Revin, were featured in a German documentary “My Life under Putin” (“Mein Leben unter Putin”). This film highlights the plight of the LGBT community in modern Russia. Putin’s war on gays and rampant propaganda of homophobia resulted in gay people being treated as the lowest cast in the Russian society. Due to the state sanctioned violence and hatred people are being constantly attacked, killed and abused. Russian police and all law enforcement agency are complacent in this persecution of the LGBT community.
